The Pista degli Innamorati (n. 20) is the longest run in the San Pellegrino Ski Area, a 12 km track that goes from the top station of the Col Margherita cable car (2.514 m) down to the town of Falcade (1.100 m).
It is a super panoramic track that winds through woods and with priceless views of the Dolomites, between Val di Fassa and Falcade. 1400 meters of altitude difference for a "slow ski" route suitable for everyone and to be done with the eyes and an open heart. The advice is to follow it at sunset when the "enrosadira" colors the Marmolada, the Pale di San Martino, the Pelmo, the Civetta ... and makes the views even more exciting.
But why is it called the Lovers' Track? Among the locals there is a story that dates back to more than twenty years ago. The cat driver who first hit the track was madly in love so much that he took his sweet half with him some nights. One night, from the radio with which the operators communicate with each other, the sweet words that the two were exchanging spread. Since that day, that has become the Lovers' Track and a heart drawn with a snow groomer along the way is its symbol.
